Is there really a God?

Almost everyone must have often asked about the existence of the supreme God. Someone whom they think should be the creator and manager of every event that goes on in the world. There are certain standpoints that quest this thought provoking exercise. Science has portrayed the fact that it is impossible to assume that the world came by big bang accidental explosion. Even if this remains a fact, then how come its intelligent, systematic and orderly operation of the earth? Man is therefore faced with certain unexplainable facts, of which he himself is part of. We may just assume to be summarizing if we limit our thoughts to what the optical eyes can see. More are things that proves the intelligent work of a God even within the many things that not just science but human search has remained undoubtable till date. Atheism has been thinkers’ fields. However, a majority of here have often been blindfolded from the systematic and intelligent operations rather than just the created things that they hold on to as reason to dispute the existence of the personal God.

However, it is evident that if there was eve God, since human senses cannot find Him, we are only left with the option that He expresses Himself to us. In appears that as many feels frustrated in the attempt of doing this, they often fall short of success of locating Him. Man cannot find God because He is intangible to human touch. He cannot be heard neither could He be seen with human eyes. If man will discredit the existence of God he cannot be located with his mortal eyes and feeble hands, then it is tantamount to the fact that a fish can as well discredit the existence of New York since it lived all its life time in the River Nile!

Therefore, the question shifts from the standpoint of evidence to faith. Not faith to assume the non-existence but an open mind to know what he never knew. Heb 11:6  says, “Without faith no one can please God. Whoever comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who sincerely try to find him.” This is why the natural man never knows God. Man since the ages has believed through his senses. The sense of touch, hearing, taste, sight, smell and intuition.by intuition, man thinks that a fact may fail all other senses and still be trusted. It has birthed research which has consequently aid innovations that we see today. Also, to understand the reason for creation, reason for man or the origin of the earth, we must come to knowledge with open mind.

Facts that may help in the belief of the existence of God is enshrined in history. If human experiences and observation matter, as proof of God’s existence, then God has enough examples to show us. Some of these facts are discussed here:

• Historical Reliability and Unity of the Bible: The Bible was written by about 40 different authors over roughly 1500 years, it staggers the human mind how consistent and coherent these accounts never contradict each other despite the fact that the writers never knew each other or are in the same location. Many history scholars knew that Abraham and Job period are almost alike in time. They both existed between 1800 – 2000 BC yet wrote about the same God as thought were taught about God by a same instructor. No internet, no google or AI. In addition, it may be interesting to note that all these 40 writers all wrote in great consistence on matters of God, sin, humanity and redemption.
• Fulfilled Prophecies: The bible contains numerous predictions that were later fulfilled in history. Some of these include,
  • The Virgin Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Right around the year 740 BC and 680 BC prophet Isaiah had seen that Christ shall be born. Isa 7:14, 9:6-7, Isa 53. Christ was born around 4 to 6 BC. And that makes it approximately 700 years before the prophecies got fulfilled. Please note that, dates were counted downward in the past by the historians.
  • The Descendants of Abraham was long prophesied in Genesis 12:3, 22:18. This came to pass in Matthew 1:1, Gal. 3:16.
  • Jesus Resurrection was long prophesied in Psalm 16:10 and fulfilled in Acts 2:25-32.
• The impacts of Jesus Christ. The Life, Teaching, Death and reported Resurrection are central to Christian belief. The corroboration of the events of the world was prophesied in Mathew 24 by Jesus Christ, Rapture of the Saints were spoken of by Apostle Paul and the end of the World. Jesus has a direct and indirect impacts through His direct prophesies and in the prophesies given by those He gave these gifts to also.

Using some of these cohesion, one can conclude that in truth the world is orchestrated by God. Hebrew 11:3, “By faith we understand that the worlds events are framed by the Word of God”.  Every event in the world is carefully ordered God. However, many have questioned this order. We have argued that if God was a good God then why would there be wars, crisis and troubles. Yet through he acknowledgement the fact we are dealing with the supreme being who supersedes in wisdom, power and capabilities, we believe He does all things according to His will. Eph. 1:11 wrote, “In Christ we were chosen to be God's people. God had already planned for us to be his people, because that is what he wanted. And he is the one who makes everything agree with what he decides and wants.” God is not only able in power, He also able in His will to make happen whatever He wants above the control of men. Yet, the creator has also chosen to be a just and loving God. Although, are several misreprentations perpetrated by men, yet through biblical corroborations, we found His Love, having known Him as a Father God. He is not a God who disregards His children but provided a way to be known by those who opens up their heart to him. He has sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay utmost sacrifice for our sins and given us His Holy Spirit as a seal until we leave this world either through physical death or Rapture.
